Student teaching 12/06/2012

12/06/2012

Today we had rehearsal of fourth grade. Compared to the fifth grade, fourth grade behaved much better. Since Mrs. P.G. found a new song to let the chorus sing to celebrate the Festival, which was Caroling, Caroling. She thought it was short and then she did some rearrangement that was modulating from F to G with repeating the first sentence three times. Since I graduated from composition major, I would say it was not fluent and audible. It was too straight. I did another version of rearrangement by adding three “Ding, Dong” at the end of the F major part while extend the time of each single word. When it came to the G major part, we changed the tempo by making it faster and rushing to the end with students ringing  their jingle bells. We adopted this version. It worked pretty well.
